In a major tech upgrade aimed at simplifying the exam journey for lakhs of aspirants, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially launched a brand-new Online Application Portal today. The portal promises to cut down on confusion, save precious time, and eliminate the panic of last-minute submissions. This revamped system breaks the application process into four smart sections—with the first three, namely Account Creation, Universal Registration, and Common Application Form, available 24/7 for candidates to fill out in advance. The fourth section, Examination, will handle all exam-specific updates, notifications, and applications, but only during the official exam windows. What’s the big win? Aspirants can now pre-fill their core details and keep their profiles ready to go—no more scrambling when the exam notification drops! Starting today, all candidates must register afresh on the new platform via upsconline.nic.in, as the older One Time Registration (OTR) system is now obsolete. UPSC is also encouraging applicants to use their Aadhar Card for ID verification to ensure seamless authentication and a single source of truth for all future applications. The portal goes live from May 28, 2025, and will be the exclusive platform for submitting applications to the CDS Exam-II, 2025 and NDA & NA Exam-II, 2025, both of which have been officially notified today. With this digital leap, UPSC is making the application process faster, smoother, and smarter putting the power of preparation back in the hands of the candidates.
