In a significant diplomatic outreach, Prime Minister of India set off today on a three-nation tour spanning Cyprus, Canada, and Croatia, aimed at deepening India’s global partnerships and strengthening its voice on key international platforms. The journey begins with a visit to the Republic of Cyprus (June 15–16), where the Prime Minister will hold discussions with President Nikos Christodoulides to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, security, technology, and foster deeper people-to-people connections. From Cyprus, the Prime Minister will head to Kananaskis, Canada, to participate in the G7 Summit, hosted by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The summit is expected to focus on pressing global issues and give prominence to the concerns of the Global South. On June 18, the final leg of the tour takes the Prime Minister to Croatia, marking the first-ever visit by an Indian PM to the country. Meetings with President Zoran Milanovic and Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic aim to strengthen cultural and bilateral ties, exploring new areas of cooperation. The tour also serves as a platform for India to express gratitude for global support against cross-border terrorism and to reinforce the call for united global action against terrorism in all its forms.
