Guidance camp organized under the joint aegis of Kushabhau Thackeray Journalism University and Raipur Press Club

The carrier guidance camp was organized with the aim of making youth and parents aware about career opportunities in media education and mass communication sector.In the inaugural session of the camp, Divisional Commissioner and Vice Chancellor of the University Mahadev Kawre, while giving his views on career opportunities in the field of communication and journalism, said that today is also very important from a historical point of view. On this day, i.e. on 8 June 1936, Akashvani was established. It played a new role in making the citizens of the country aware. Today, carrying forward the same tradition, this guidance camp is a small but important effort towards increasing public awareness towards media education. Mr. Kavre said that there are immense career possibilities in the field of media, but media education is very important for this. Press Club Raipur President Prafull Thakur guided the participants by sharing his journalistic experience in the camp. He said that at present there are immense possibilities in the field of journalism and mass communication, which not only provide employment opportunities, but also become a medium to play an active role in the society. He emphasized that quality mass communication education is necessary for the youth to take advantage of these possibilities. Because media is the influential voice of the society and knowledge and perspective are necessary to fulfill this responsibility, which is possible only with strong education. He said that the society needs good and true journalists, who can show the mirror to the government administration by becoming the voice of the people with honesty and dedication. Addressing the camp, Press Club General Secretary Dr. Vaibhav Shiv Pandey said that the generation coming into journalism quickly falls behind fame. They feel that by roaming around leaders and officials, people will start recognizing them quickly. But they forget that fame cannot be achieved without accomplishment. Sharing his experience, he said that for fame you will have to work hard with patience.In the inaugural session, Chairman of Journalism Department Pankaj Nayan Pandey highlighted the role and objective of the program, while Chairman of Social Work and Electronic Media Department Dr. Nripendra Sharma gave the welcome speech and underlined the importance of the program. In the event, Vice Chancellor Shri Kavre presented mementoes to Press Club President Prafull Thakur and officials on behalf of the university.Registrar Sunil Sharma thanked all the guests, officials of Press Club Raipur and participants for their active participation and cooperation. He said that the success of such events is possible only with the collective efforts and participation of everyone. The university will continue to try to give a new direction to mass communication education through such meaningful programs in the future as well.Program coordinator and Head of Mass Communication Department Dr. Rajendra Mohanty said that the main objective of this camp is to make the students pursuing education in the field of media and mass communication aware about this subject. He said that in future also new efforts will be made in this direction so that awareness towards media and mass communication education can be more widespread in Chhattisgarh.On this occasion various department heads of the university Mr. Shailendra Khandelwal (IT), guest lecturer and university researcher Vinod Sawant, Chandresh Chaudhary and Press Club Vice President Sandeep Shukla, Treasurer Raman Halwai, Joint Secretary Bamleshwar Arvind Sonwani were also present.
