Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, speaking onboard India’s indigenously-built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, declared Operation Sindoor as a decisive and aggressive response to terrorism and a bold message to Pakistan. “This is not just a military action; it is India’s frontal assault against terrorism,” he stated, warning that if Pakistan dares to indulge in any misadventure, it will face the full wrath of the Indian Navy. He added that the operation is not over — it’s just a pause, and if provoked again, India’s retaliation will be even stronger. Rajnath Singh made it clear that India will no longer tolerate cross-border terrorism and is prepared to respond with all its might — on land, in the air, and at sea. Referring to Pakistan’s history of harboring terrorists, he said, “If Pakistan is serious about talks, it must first hand over UN-designated terrorists Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar. Only then can there be meaningful dialogue.” He also praised the Indian Armed Forces for their swift, synchronized action following the recent Pahalgam attack, where the Indian Air Force struck terror camps and the Navy effectively cornered the Pakistani Navy near the Makran Coast within 96 hours.

The Defence Minister lauded the Navy’s silent but potent role during the operation, stating that the powerful Carrier Battle Group remained deployed and ready, preventing Pakistan from escalating the situation. He emphasized that India today is not just a regional power, but fast emerging as a global force, capable of projecting power across the Indian Ocean Region and beyond. “Our Navy’s force projection, missile launches, and maritime dominance sent a strong signal to the enemy and forced them into a defensive posture,” he said. Highlighting the modern face of warfare, Singh pointed out that conflicts are now fought not just with weapons but through cyber warfare, data control, and strategic deterrence. He praised the Navy’s advancements in these areas, calling them essential for national security. “This is a new era. Whether on land, in the skies, or in the oceans — India is fully prepared,” he said.

Rajnath Singh concluded by reinforcing the government’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism. “Our response was so decisive that Pakistan had to plead for de-escalation. And we stopped only on our terms. Our forces had not even shown their full strength.” His powerful address from the deck of INS Vikrant symbolized not just military preparedness but India’s unwavering resolve to protect its sovereignty at any cost.
