In a transformative move aimed at enhancing governance and public service delivery, the Government of NCT of Delhi signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and Karmayogi Bharat for the comprehensive rollout of Mission Karmayogi. The agreement was formalized on May 29, 2025, in New Delhi, in the esteemed presence of Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, Chief Secretary Shri Dharmendra, CBC Member (Administration) Dr. Alka Mittal, and senior officials from both the Delhi Government and Karmayogi Bharat. Mission Karmayogi, the Government of India’s flagship program for civil services capacity building, seeks to empower officials with the skills, digital tools, and behavioral insights needed to drive effective governance. Delhi is now set to become a frontrunner in this national mission by onboarding all its officials onto the iGOT Karmayogi portal, marking one of the most extensive state-level implementations so far. The Capacity Building Commission and Karmayogi Bharat lauded the Delhi Government’s proactive approach and pledged complete support, including the creation of department-wise Capacity Building Plans (CBPs), training urban local body (ULB) officials for more citizen-centric service delivery, and implementing large-scale interventions to instill Sewa Bhav—a service-first mindset—among Delhi government personnel. This collaboration marks a key milestone in the nationwide expansion of Mission Karmayogi, reinforcing its vision of building a future-ready civil service that is efficient, accountable, and committed to public welfare.
