Rashtrapati Bhavan is all set to become a hub of literary celebration as it hosts a two-day national conference titled “How Much Has Literature Changed?” on May 29 and 30, 2025. Organized in collaboration with Sahitya Akademi and the Ministry of Culture, the event will take place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, will inaugurate the conference on May 29, joined by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, along with prominent authors, poets, and thinkers from across the country. The conference will feature a series of engaging sessions such as “Poets’ Meet – Straight from the Heart,” “Feminist Literature of India: Breaking New Grounds,” “Change in Literature vs. Literature of Change,” and “New Directions of Indian Literature in Global Perspective.” The event will conclude with a special session celebrating the legacy and courage of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The conference aims to reflect on the journey of Indian literature— how it has evolved, inspired change, and carved a space for itself in the global arena.
