Pandit Nehru, known as the architect of modern India, served as the country’s first Prime Minister from 1947 to 1964. On his death anniversary, leaders across party lines remembered his contribution to nation-building and his vision for a democratic and progressive India.
The homage by PM Modi is seen as a gesture of respect to one of the pivotal figures in India’s freedom struggle and early governance.
