Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan in Bhopal on the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, paid heartfelt tribute to her visionary leadership, calling her a symbol of India’s cultural strength and women-led governance. He released a ₹300 commemorative coin and postage stamp in her honor and presented the National Devi Ahilyabai Award to a tribal artist for preserving traditional art forms. PM Modi emphasized Ahilyabai’s legacy of temple restoration, social reform, and economic empowerment—highlighting her work in promoting handicrafts, women’s rights, and inclusive development centuries ago. Drawing inspiration from her ideals, the PM underlined the government’s commitment to women-led progress through schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra loans, Namo Drone Didi, Bank Sakhi, and Ayushman Bharat, which are empowering millions of women with homes, health, income, and respect. He noted that 10 crore women are now part of SHGs, with 1.5 crore becoming Lakhpati Didis, and women are leading in startups, science, and even space missions like Chandrayaan-3. On the defense front, he hailed women’s growing role in the armed forces, referencing Operation Sindoor—India’s most successful counter-terror operation where BSF’s women personnel played frontline roles. He also celebrated the courage of women naval officers in the Navika Sagar Parikrama and emphasized that women now serve in Sainik Schools, NDA, and aboard INS Vikrant. As part of his infrastructure push, PM Modi inaugurated Datia and Satna airports, Indore Metro’s Yellow Line, and announced major railway projects like Ratlam-Nagda line expansion and Indore-Manmad rail corridor. He also transferred the first installment for over 1,200 Atal Gram Sushasan Bhawans worth ₹480 crore to strengthen village administration. PM Modi concluded by urging the nation to draw strength from icons like Ahilyabai Holkar, Rani Lakshmibai, Rani Durgavati, Savitribai Phule, and others to build a secure, developed, and culturally rooted Sashakt Bharat.
