Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, addressing the closing session of the ‘PadhAI: Conclave on AI in Education’, called for India’s human intelligence to take the lead in driving the global AI movement. Held in the national capital and organized by the Center of Policy Research and Governance (CPRG), the two-day conclave explored how AI is transforming learning across the country. Speaking passionately at the valedictory event, Shri Pradhan described Artificial Intelligence as a “force multiplier and a bridge between empathy and technology.” He emphasized that AI in education is no longer optional but essential for modern learning. Citing initiatives like the establishment of Centres of Excellence in AI and efforts to integrate AI in Indian languages and classrooms, he urged stakeholders to help shape future-ready policies. The conclave brought together thought leaders, policymakers, and innovators—including Shri Jitin Prasada, Shri Ashish Sood, Dr. Vineet Joshi, and Shri Abhishek Singh—to deliberate on how AI can expand learning beyond textbooks and traditional classrooms. From critical thinking to chipsets, the discussions focused on preparing students and institutions for the future. As AI continues to redefine the educational landscape, India is gearing up not just to participate—but to lead.
